Building & BaLA Initiatives

The Building as Learning Aid (BaLA) program is an initiative by Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS) to improve the quality of education by making school infrastructure more child-friendly and fun. The program is based on the idea that the school’s architecture can be a resource for teaching and learning.

The BaLA program aims to:

• Develop a child-friendly physical environment for learning and fun
• Incorporate activity-based learning, child friendliness, and inclusive education
• Maximize the educational value of the built space
• Support diverse learning activities, such as small group learning, individual reading, and project work
